Dominion House

Before the Dominion House became what we know today, it was the Masonic Children’s Home – one of the largest children’s facilities in Oklahoma at the time. The Masonic Children’s Home designed by architects Hawk and Parr and constructed by Campbell and Price. It’s an example of a classical Revival design.

Today, the facility is used mostly for weddings and other events. It does have a small hotel (14 rooms) which have been beautifully remodeled. We had a first floor room with a bathroom suite. If you are ever in the area of Guthrie, OK, you must stay at the Dominion House. We will be back for sure!!

Unfortunately, the website listed above isn’t well maintained. We saw no igloos! And the restaurant wasn’t in operation during our visit.
